A ceramics artist has commissioned us to design a small ceramics school on her property that sits dramatically on the edge of Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park. She will begin taking classes upon construction completion in the earlier part of 2014.

The design focuses on creating a peaceful working environment that allows students to draw inspiration from the natural landscape beyond, work independently, or work as a group.

The design integrates with the existing residential house and provides the opportunity to expand the outdoor entertaining area above. The clients learned about outdoor kitchens during their time living in Singapore and will now bring an Australian version of this practice to be enjoyed up in the tree-tops of the established Eucalyptus trees.

Construction is due to begin in early 2014.
